User and Membership levels

Note: To be able to post names to this Registry or to the forum, you MUST open and account and become a verified user (Level 3). To become verified press on the "to get verified" button located under the level 3 level description.

One of the primary objectives of the Canadian Registry for Public Accountability (CRPA) is to provide accurate and reliable statistics for research purposes and to provide accurate and reliable feedback and exchange of information between concerned Canadians about the quality of services being provided by persons in specific professions which are related in some way to the courts and child protection systems in Canada. Members of the public are encouraged to provide their experience (good or bad) about individuals whose provide services to the public. In order to achieve reliable data, all persons wishing to register a name of a person into the registry or to provide information in one of the surveys must become a verified user of the website. All personal information will be kept in strict confidence. Those who choose to become members will have to agree to abide by a strict confidentiality agreement. Below is an outline of the various levels of users and the privileges that each level of user will have on this website.

Level 1 - General public
Any person viewing the site from the public who has not registered an account or had their name and account information verified by phone will be allowed limited viewing privileges to the site. Persons from the general public will have the following privileges:
1) View the on line polls and to provide input to the poll questions
2) View the on line surveys questions but not to post data in the surveys
3) View the on line information submission forms but not to submit names into the registry
4) To search the database of registered names by last name and province only

Level 2 - Registered User
Those persons who register a user account on the site with a valid Email address without their personal contact information being verified over the phone by the CRPA staff will have the following privileges:
1) View the on line polls and to provide input to the poll questions
2) View the questions in the on line surveys but not to post data in the surveys
3) View the on line information submission forms but not to submit names into the registry
4)To search the database of registered names by last name and province only
5) To have the option of receiving the monthly newsletter from the CRPA

Level 3 - Verified User
Those persons who provide their name and contact information and request to become a Verified User of the site will be contacted by phone to verify their phone number and identity. Once approved, Verified Users (Level 3) will have the following privileges:
1) Limited phone support if verified user has contributed names to the Registry
2) View the on line polls and to provide input to the poll questions
3) View the on line surveys and to post responses to the surveys
4) View the on line information submission forms but not to submit names into the registry
5) To search the database of registered names by last name and province only
6) To enter names into the Registry and to recommend or not recommend those persons entered into the Registry
7) To have the option of receiving the monthly newsletter from the CRPA
8) To participate in private discussion forums as they become active regarding specific persons or institutions
Note: you must have registered an account and be logged on to the site before requesting to become a verified user.

Level 4 - General Member - $25 per year (Must be a verified user first)
Persons who are already Verified Users (Level 3) and make the required donation fee to upgrade their user level to General Member category will have the following privileges:
1) Limited phone support if the general member has contributed names to the Registry
2) View the on line polls and to provide input to the poll questions
3) View the on line surveys and to post responses to the surveys
4) To download helpful information and support documents available only to members in a special section of the site
5) To receive helpful phone support from other members
6) CRPA will write a warning letter to individuals who meet the criteria for having their names submitted to the Registry
7) View the on line information submission forms and to submit names into the registry
8) To search the database of registered names by more refined search criteria
9) To have the option of receiving the monthly newsletter from the CRPA
10) To participate in private on line discussion forums as they become active regarding specific persons or institutions
11) View additional data fields about the persons registered in the database such as photos, comments by others and supporting documents.
12) To enter names into the Registry and to recommend or not recommend those persons entered into the Registry
13) Have the option of communicating with others who have registered a complaint against an individual should there be a civil action or class action lawsuit.
Note: To obtain a membership contact the CRPA. Fees are paid through the donation link on the site or can be arranged by bank transfer.

Level 5 - Voting Member - $50 per year (available soon)
Persons who are Verified Users or General Members (Level 3 or 4) and who pay to upgrade their user status to a voting membership category (Level 5) will have the following privileges:
1) All of the privileges given to General Members (Level 4) and in addition
2) Vote and to participate as a candidate in elections for the Board of Directors for the CRPA
